Jeanne has a keen interest for contract and commercial dispute resolution and litigation.
Prior to qualifying in New Zealand, Jeanne practised as a lawyer in South Africa, where she gained experience in civil and commercial litigation, worked on a number of high-profile criminal matters, and frequently appeared in Court. She also worked in the commercial property department of an Auckland-based firm, before making a strategic move to join Norling Law’s award-winning team, at the beginning of 2024, to hone her commercial litigation and dispute resolution skills.
Jeanne obtained her BA (Law) and LLB degrees from one of the top law schools in Africa, the University of the Witwatersrand, in Johannesburg, in 2017 and 2019 respectively. Having also completed a Master of Science in Archaeology (with distinction) in 2024, and holding a BSc (Honours), Jeanne utilises her archaeology training to adopt a strong analytical perspective towards studying the facts of a client’s matter and building legal arguments.
She strives to provide support and, where necessary, advocacy, to clients who have worked hard to build their lives and businesses.
